# gst: laminar and turbulent flows detected in music, a fluid framework approach

<< The relationship between musical material and physical phenomena has become a topic in the musicological literature over the last several decades, particularly concerning elements of the musical system itself, and constructions found in the work of contemporary classical composers such as Gyorgy Ligeti and Iannis Xenakis. Most scholars, who adopt this approach, explore the physical phenomena of fractals in the analysis of musical works, but fluid mechanical frameworks, such as laminar and turbulent flows, offer a new avenue to be explored. In this paper (AA) will propose a novel method of musical analysis for examining musical structures in terms of fluid-like behaviour such that Ligeti etude no. 9 serves as a model, whereby the metaphors of laminar and turbulent flows take precedence. >>

# gst: apropos of the shepherding problem, a collision-free model between sheep and shepherd

<< The shepherding problem refers to guiding a group of agents (called sheep) to a specific destination using an external agent with repulsive forces (called shepherd). Although various movement algorithms for the shepherd have been explored in the literature, there is a scarcity of methodologies for selective guidance, which is a key technology for precise swarm control. >>️

AA << study investigates the problem of guiding a single target sheep within a swarm to a given destination using a shepherd. (AA) first present (their) model of the dynamics of sheep agents and the interaction between sheep and shepherd agents. The model is shown to be well-defined with no collision if the interaction magnitude between sheep and shepherd is reasonably limited. Based on the analysis with Lyapunov stability principles, (AA) design a shepherd control law to guide the target sheep to the origin while avoiding collisions among sheep agents. >>️

# gst: the effects of order- disorder on a system of swarmalators that move on a one-dimensional ring.

<< Swarmalators are phase oscillators that cluster in space, like fireflies flashing on a swarm to attract mates. >>

<< In this work, (AA) explore the effects of disorder induced by phase frustration on a system of Swarmalators that move on a one-dimensional ring. >>

They find << numerically and analytically, the ordered and disordered states that emerge in the system. The active states, not present in the model without disorder, resemble states found previously in numerical studies for the 2D Swarmalators system. One of these states, in particular, shows similarities to turbulence generated in a flattened media. (AA) show that all ordered states can be generated for any values of the coupling constants by tuning the phase frustration parameters only. Moreover, many of these combinations display multi-stability. >>️

# gst: nonmonotonic appearance- disappearance behaviors of two unequal-sized miscible liquid drops

<< the coalescence process of two miscible liquid drops exhibits a nonmonotonic behavior of partial coalescence from appearance to disappearance and then reappearance with decreasing surface tension ratio. The strong lifting force of the intense Marangoni flow causes the reappearance of partial coalescence at higher surface tension difference between two drops. When the Ohnesorge number increases, high viscous forces restrict the propagation of Marangoni flow and do not favor the pinch-off, even in the presence of a significant surface tension difference. The generation of secondary drops at a considerable surface tension difference is also prevented for small parent drop size ratio. >>️

# gst: apropos of transitions, droplet trajectories during single and collective bursting bubbles

<< Mechanisms of droplet production from bursting bubbles have been extensively studied for single bubbles, but remain sparsely investigated in more complex collective settings. >>️

<< In the collective bubbling experiment, subsurface quasimonodisperse bubbles are rising up to the surface where, depending on the surfactant concentration, they can either merge or assemble in rafts of monodisperse bubbles. Drop trajectories are recorded, analyzed, and shown to exhibit uniquely distinctive features for the different production mechanisms: centrifuge film drops are ejected sideways, and jet drops are ejected vertically. Different single-burst scalings are finally compared to the experimental size-velocity relationships, and reveal that drops coming from collective bubble bursting appear slower and more scattered than when coming from single bursting bubbles. >>️

# gst: another way for the evaporation of a black hole

<< The quantum fluctuations that pervade empty space spontaneously give birth to pairs of particles and antiparticles. Ordinarily, these pairs annihilate so promptly that their existence is virtual. But a powerful field can pull a pair’s members apart for long enough that their existence becomes real. Now (AA) have proposed that particle pairs can be brought into existence by the immense gravitational tidal forces around a black hole (..).>>

<< If the vacuum is stable, all pairs that are created are also destroyed. But a strong field destabilizes the vacuum, makes some paths more likely than others, and leads to a deficit of pairs that recombine. The deficit is balanced by a net outflow of real particles, which, in the case of a black hole’s gravitational field, leads to the black hole’s eventual evaporation. >>️

# gst: apropos of transitions, scrambling trajectories in a radiative random unitary circuit.

AA << study quantum information scrambling in a random unitary circuit that exchanges qubits with an environment (..). As a result, initially localized quantum information  not only spreads within the system, but also spills into the environment. >>

<< The transition is also easily extended to higher dimensions, where higher-dimensional DP (directed percolation) universality classes will control the critical behavior. >>

<<  The transition in operator spreading  coincides with an information-theoretic 3 transition, which can be framed by  viewing (AA) circuit as a toy model for an evaporating black hole (..). >>️

# gst: apropos of coexistence of coherent and incoherent oscillators, chaotic chimera attractors in a triangular network.

<< A prominent type of collective dynamics in networks of coupled oscillators is the coexistence of coherently and incoherently oscillating domains known as chimera states. >>️

<< In a three-population network of identical Kuramoto-Sakaguchi phase oscillators, stationary and periodic symmetric chimeras were previously studied on a reduced manifold in which two populations behaved identically. >>

<< In this paper, (AA) study the full phase space dynamics of such three-population networks. (They) demonstrate the existence of macroscopic chaotic chimera attractors that exhibit aperiodic antiphase dynamics of the order parameters. >>

<< The chaotic chimera states coexist with a stable chimera solution on the Ott-Antonsen manifold that displays periodic antiphase oscillation of the two incoherent populations and with a symmetric stationary chimera solution, resulting in tristability of chimera states. Of these three coexisting chimera states, only the symmetric stationary chimera solution exists in the symmetry-reduced manifold. >>️
