# life: a proposito di bizzarri scenari, qui un ipotetico scenario22 dipinto dal reale ...

In definitiva qui si configurerebbe un - intrigante assai - scenario che, grosso modo, si potrebbe sinteticamente 'dipingere' in questi termini: 

(i) entità tre palle destrogire, animate aciclicamente da interazioni attrattive- repulsive a causa di già a suo tempo disvelate pulsioni neuro cognitive arcaiche, riconducibili a visioni neuro predatorie CTZ estreme, perciò ipoteticamente (si fa per dire) a-priori ad esiti immediati e in prospettiva drammaticamente lesivi- autolesivi; 

(ii) entità tre palle levogire, animate da analoghe pulsività, purtuttavia in.forme  tenui, in modalità sottotraccia, frenate da feed-back a modalità allosterica, ombreggiate, stemperate, diluite, discrete, timidamente celate, talvolta fantasmatiche perfino, quasi ma non del tutto mai silenti, perciò anch'esse a tutti gli effetti operative, sebbene a dinamiche più fluide, lente, meno dirompenti rispetto alle destrogire; 

(iii) entrambe l'Entità destrogire e levogire animat(t)rici,  generat(t)rici di dinamiche bi-multi-forcate, transeunti, con picchi di improvvisi aciclici burst ad effetti RAG-time diretti e inversi;

(iv) lo scenario al contorno e forse anche all'interno, nei vari specifici contesti, riconducibile grosso modo alla formazione aciclica di ipotetici buchi neri non inerti, caratterizzati da aciclicità in compressione e dilatazione - come fossero fisarmoniche - animati (in perpetuo?) da multi vortici in ingresso e in uscita;

Non so se basti compulsare un manuale delle funzioni speciali per formalizzare in qualche adatto topo-modo questo pulsatile multi scenario, purtuttavia assolutamente intrigante ...

Quello che appare evidente è la complessità d'insieme, un bizzarro dipinto, uno scenario dinamico che, al confronto, le storiche danze in Congo Square potrebbero sembrare semplici, ordinate coreografie ... queste, rispetto a quelle, delle topo-forme  'primitive', per dire ed anzicheforse.

# gst: black swan ... or black rabbit?

In his book The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable, Nassim Nicholas Taleb explores the profound and unpredictable events that shape our world, which he calls “Black Swans.” These events are characterized by three main features: they are rare and unpredictable, they have an extreme impact, and in hindsight, they often seem explainable or inevitable. Taleb argues that our world is increasingly shaped by these Black Swans, from financial crises to technological breakthroughs, and yet humans are inherently ill equipped to anticipate them due to cognitive biases and reliance on standard predictive models. By analogy with this term, (AA) have named Black Rabbits events that exhibit all the external characteristics of a Black Swan but are entirely determined by the state of the system itself. These phenomena are not artificial examples or mere curiosities; they exist wherever hyperbolic meadows are found. When we witness a social catastrophe or a financial crisis, could it be not a stray Black Swan but a local Black Rabbit? How can one determine in advance that a system is pregnant with a crisis? What indicators can be used? Is it possible to control the system to prevent it from becoming unstable? These are intriguing questions, perhaps too complex, especially when dealing not with simple mathematical models but with real-world systems. Yet, we must still strive to find answers to them.

<< Basins of attraction are fundamental to the analysis of dynamical systems (..). Over the years, many remarkable properties of basins have been discovered (..), most notably that their geometry can be wild, as exemplified by Wada basins (..), fractal basin boundaries (..), and riddled or intermingled basins (..). Yet despite these foundational studies, much remains to be learned about basins, especially in systems with many degrees of freedom. >>

AA show that for locally-coupled Kuramoto oscillators << high-dimensional basins tend to have convoluted geometries and cannot be approximated by simple shapes such as hypercubes. Although they are impossible to visualize precisely (because of their high dimensionality), (they) present evidence that these basins have long tentacles that reach far and wide and become tangled with each other. Yet sufficiently close to its own attractor, each basin becomes rounder and more simply structured, somewhat like the head of an octopus. >>

<< In terms of (AA) metaphor, almost all of a basin’s volume is in its tentacles, not its head. This finding is not limited to Kuramoto oscillators. (AA) provide a simple geometrical argument showing that, as long as the number of attractors in a system grows subexponentially with system size, the basins are expected to be octopus-like. As further evidence of their genericity, basins of this type were previously found in simulations of jammed sphere packings (..) where they were described as “branched” and “threadlike” away from a central core (..) and accurate methods were developed for computing their volumes (.,). # gst: approaching chaotic dynamics to trace the complexity of rough nanostructured surfaces

AA << use the basic ingredients of chaotic dynamics (stretching and folding of phase space points) for the characterization of the complexity of microscopy images of rough surfaces. The key idea is to use an image as the initial condition of a chaotic discrete dynamical system, such as the Arnold cat map, and track its transformations during the first iterations of the map. Since the basic effects of the Arnold map are the stretching and folding of image texture, the application of the map leads to an enhancement of the high frequency content of images along with an increase of discontinuities in pixel intensities. (AA) exploit these effects to quantify the complexity of S type (lying between homogeneity and randomness) of the image texture since the first (enhancement of high frequencies) can be used to quantify the distance of texture from randomness and noise and the second (the proliferation of discontinuities) the distance from order and homogeneity. The method is validated in synthetic images which are generated from computer generated surfaces with controlled correlation length and fractal dimension and it is applied in real images of nanostructured surfaces obtained from a scanning electron microscope with very interesting results. >>️

<< Here, [AA] report an experimental realization of ring dark soliton (RDS)  generation in a two-dimensional atomic superfluid trapped in a circular box. By quenching the confining box potential, [they] observe an RDS emitted from the edge and its peculiar signature in the radial motion. As an RDS evolves, [they] observe transverse modulations at discrete azimuthal angles, which clearly result in a patterned formation of a circular vortex dipole array. Through collisions of the vortex dipoles with the box trap, [they] observe vortex unbinding, vortex pinning to the edge, and emission of rarefaction pulses. >>

# gst: limit cycles and chaos in planar hybrid systems.

<< The main inspiration of (this AA) work is the paper of Llibre and Teixeira (Nonlinear Dyn. 91, No. 1, 249-255, 2018) about Filippov systems formed by two linear centers and having x = 0 as discontinuity line. One of the main conclusions of the paper is that such systems cannot have limit cycles. Actually, either it does not have periodic orbits or every orbit is periodic. Therefore, its dynamics is relatively simple. Inspired by this work and the raising notion of hybrid systems, (AA) wondered what could happen if we allow jumps on the discontinuity line. As a result, (They) discovered not only that limit cycles are allowed with arbitrarily small “perturbations” in the jump, (..), but also that such systems allow chaotic dynamics. Therefore, (AA) conclude that hybrid systems with simple formulation can have rich dynamics. (They) also observe that a complete characterization of the dynamics of X ∈ Xn depends on the characterization of its first return map, which is a piecewise polynomial map on the real line. This, together with the fact that the systems studied here are a generalization of the Filippov systems (..), illustrates that hybrid systems can be seen as a three-fold bridge connecting continuous, piecewise continuous and discrete dynamical systems. >>️

Contrary to the expectation that the ergodic-MBL transition in quasiperiodic systems should be sharper due to the absence of Griffiths regions, (They) uncover a broad unconventional regime at strong quasiperiodic potential, characterized by fat-tailed distributions of longitudinal correlations at long distance. This reveals the presence of atypical eigenstates with strong long-range correlations in a regime where standard diagnostics indicate stable MBL. >>

<< ️(AA) further identify these anomalous eigenstates as quasi-degenerate pairs of resonant cat states, which exhibit entanglement at long distance. These findings advance the understanding of quasiperiodic MBL and identify density-correlation measurements in ultracold atomic systems as a probe of long-range resonances. >>

# gst: universal criterion for selective outcomes under stochastic resetting


<< ️Resetting plays a pivotal role in optimizing the completion time of complex first-passage processes with single or multiple outcomes and exit possibilities. While it is well established that the coefficient of variation—a statistical dispersion defined as a ratio of the fluctuations over the mean of the first-passage time—must be larger than unity for resetting to be beneficial for any outcome averaged over all the possibilities, the same cannot be said while conditioned on a particular outcome.  >>

<< ️The purpose of (AA) article is to derive a universal condition that reveals that two statistical metrics—the mean and coefficient of variation of the conditional times—come together to determine when resetting can expedite the completion of a selective outcome, and furthermore can govern the biasing between preferential and nonpreferential outcomes. The universality of this result is demonstrated for a one-dimensional diffusion process subjected to resetting with two absorbing boundaries. >>
